Brilliant entertainment at the party for the birthday girls. Nothing was too much trouble and the quality of the performance was exceptional. All the guests have commented on how much they enjoyed the music. I don't think I can add any more.

The song choices really fitted in with the spirit of the party with songs like Valerie and Soul Man getting the ladies up. That was followed by Madness and Bad Manners for the portly middle aged men to have a stomp around the dancefloor.

I cannot recommend the band highly enough from the original booking to discussing issues with the sound engineers on the night. A great band and a great bunch of people to deal with. Thanks for making the night. I can't wait to organise the next party!

Thank you so much for playing at our wedding last night, you guys were amazing (as always) and we had such fantastic comments about you from the guests - you really did make our evening, along with everyone else's who came along. We had all ages on the dance floor, from 2 to 82 which shows how wide ranging your appeal is!

An extra big thanks to you for playing my favourite song ever - "Wake me up before you go-go" - it really was an extra special touch, and seemed to turn into an impromptu first dance!

You are a great bunch, highly talented, really good fun and always a pleasure to watch (and dance to of course!).
We really must make an excuse to hire you again...

Area 52 put on a fantastic performance in front of 1,500 people at the Bishops Lydeard Party in the Park. The band is utterly professional putting on an extremely polished show lasting for over 2 hours.

One of the great things about the band is their ability to appeal to people right across the generations with those of all ages up and dancing. With a set list including Let Me Entertain You, Soul Man, Son of A Preacher Man, Brown Sugar, Love Shack and Hot Stuff, there is something for everyone here. With their professional sound, light crew and superb musicianship, the ten-piece Area 52 kept everyone entertained all night.

The Party in the Park has not happened here for some years and we were so pleased to be able to have Area 52 to kick off this new era. Their style is extremely bright and enthusiastic, which when combined with their 'oneness' with their instruments, produces a high energy and fun focus to the evening. The event was called Party in the Park and they certainly gave it that party feel.

There is something in the song list for every age and taste - from tracks like "Brown eyed girl" to the more recent tracks like "Valerie" a personal favourite of mine.
We were up dancing all night, only stopping for a drink every now and again.
The band worked well together and you could tell they were enjoying themselves too. The vocalists harmonised well together and drew in the crowd's participation. The musicians are very talented and the pelvic thrusting was fun to watch!
It was nice to hear tracks such as Madness "one step beyond" which must be a challenge for any Sax player.
A thoroughly enjoyable evening and can't wait to see them again...

Well, what can we say? Area 52 rock! People even got up to dance when they were testing the equipment! We cannot fault them. They were fantastic in every way from organising timings, getting there early to set-up (with no distraction to the wedding itself) and of course the amazing music.

We had so many comments about how fabulous they are and many compliments for the two lovely singers.

They even got my Granddad up on the dance floor with his walking frame! The music appealed to all and created an amazing party atmosphere. Neale and I would like to say a HUGE HUGE thank-you to Bob, Eugene and their brilliant band members for making our night a night to remember! Xxx.

Area 52 Rock!

We booked these guys for our wedding reception. I had a dream of having a live band instead of a DJ, we searched and searched and came across AREA 52. WOW, we had the most fantastic evening we could ever have wished for.

They are truly out of this world, the dance floor was never empty. The standard of their music was just exceptional, we had lots of children at our wedding and even they didn't get off the floor.. They are totally fab. We loved shake your tail feather, it was great.

I can't put into words how grateful Scott and I are for making our dream wedding come true, we couldn't of asked for a better end to a perfect day. Thank you soooo much guys you are truly awesome... Becky and Scott.

I asked Area 52 to play this gig having only ever heard their sound on Lemonrock. I read some of the other reviews too so I was expecting a good evening.

They were even better than I had hoped! Their sound is big and the personalities of the band members are even bigger. They interacted brilliantly with the audience and by the end of the night they had almost everyone on their feet.

I danced from start to finish and am already booking them for another gig (same place) for 2009.
If you want to book a big, loud band don't hesitate to book these guys, they are fabulous!

You cannot get a better live band for a wedding evening. We were so lucky to have them playing at our reception. The music playlist is perfect getting everyone on the dance floor loving the fantastic live sound.

We recommend this band to anyone who wants a live band for their wedding.

Our thanks to Area 52.

I just popped in into the Union Rooms in Plymouth last night for a quick drink with colleagues - and ended up staying the night!

Why? Area 52!

These guys were fantastic - I have never seen a band of such quality in this type of place before. Where to start?...

Guitar and bass were really solid, as was the keyboard. The brass section were brilliant, spot on all night, they also dance and interact with the singers which was great.

The female singers were great and really energetic all night.

The lead singer, well what can I say......(secretly he was part of the reason I stayed all night!). Can that guy sing or what?! Every note was so well sung and his version of 'Try a Little Tenderness' at the end was just treacle - where I was standing, every woman in the place was almost on their knees. We were sat well away from the band but his voice was enough for me and my friends! Not to mention that he was just gorgeous!

Sorry - I am meant to be commenting on music.

They were fantastic all night and I think if given a really big party they would do an amazing job! I was so impressed.
So get to see Area 52 as soon as you can - or better still, book them - I know I will!
